Since 2019, IUPAC has nominated the “Top Ten Emerging Technologies in Chemistry”, highlighting impact of chemistry on overall life and looking to future. These technologies have potential change world for better, contribute sustainable development prosperity our planet society. Examples include RNA vaccines rapid tests, biosensors sonochemical coatings, artificial intelligence nanopesticides, many other well-established commercial products that completely renewed Emphasizing great importance creation new materials inspires generation young scientists creativity, research, finding solutions. The advanced requires a resource well-educated trained specialists field natural sciences. Along with emerging chemistry, following negative trends are observed Bulgarian school education: – reduced interest studying chemistry; smaller number high graduates choose state exam sciences; there is no echo they out sight students. There also aspects university education, as about 25% initially enrolled students manage complete their higher education. reasons these phenomena complex difficulties understanding material, lack motivation, poor teaching more.
